Ball valves, commonly referred to as isolation valves provide a fast and simple on / off solution by means of turning the lever 90° and are generally the preffered method of isolation on pipework due to their simple design and ease of installaton.
They are also highly verstatile and can be used on water, oil, compressed air and gasses.
We stock and source wide range of ball valves in materials which include: Brass, Bronze, DZR, Stainless Steel, Hygienic (Dairy 316), Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, Forged Steel, PVC, ABS & PP.
The most common connections we supply are:
Threaded: BSP, BSPP (Parallel Thread), BSPT (Tapered Thread), NPT.
Flanged: EN1092 PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25 & PN40. ANSI: ASA150, ASA300 & ASA600.
Weldable: Socket Weld, Butt Weld & Plain end (Hygienic Butt Weld).
Mechanical: Compression, Press fit & Push Fit.
Ball valves commonly come as a Two port option however, we also have Three Port in either the L or T configuration available.
Ball valves are generally lever operateed. To compliment our range of ball valves we also offer actuation, whether elecrically or pneumatically actuated TSS will be able to assist.
We are South Wales based distributors and supplier for iTap, Air-pro, RUB, Albion Valves, Hatima, LV and Jet ball valves.
Gate valves are a good alternative to ball valves depending on your requirements. Gate valves have a slower open / close operation time due to the handwheel operation which reduces the risk of water hammer and gate valves also take up less space than ball valves.
We can also supply gate valves in multiple materials which include: Brass, Bronze, DZR, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron and Forged Steel.
The most common connections we supply are:
Threaded: BSP, BSPP (Parallel Thread), BSPT (Tapered Thread), NPT.
Flanged: EN1092 PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25 & PN40. ANSI: ASA150, ASA300 & ASA600.
Weldable: Socket Weld
Generally the smaller brass and bronze bodied gate valves will have a PTFE seat however on there larger flanged gate valves there are different styles such as parralel or wedge type and also resiliant or metal Seat gate valves are available depending on the application. In most cases gate valves are manual handwheel operated however they are available in lockshield which will require a key to be openend and although not very common, actuation is also available for certain gate valves.
As well as the standard style gate valve we are also able to supply Knife edge gate valves. We are also the South Wales distributor for EBRO Stafsjö and AVK knife edge gate valves. We have access to supply Bonomi CMO, Orbinox , Bray, ZUBI & TT Valves branded knife edge gate valves.
Globe valves are similar to gate valves in operation and aesthetics however, unlike gate valves globes valves allow the user to regulate the flow and pressure as well as the complete shut off of flow.
Our globe valves come in range of materials such as: Bronze, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Cast Steel and Forged Steel.
The most common connections we supply are:
Threaded: BSP, BSPP (Parallel Thread), BSPT (Tapered Thread), NPT.
Flanged: EN1092 PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25 & PN40. ANSI: ASA150, ASA300 .
Weldable: Socket Weld
Usually Globe valves are required for a high temperature or high pressure application. They are available in a variety of styles such as angle pattern and wye pattern with the most common being a 'Tee' pattern which is essencially a 'straight' globe valve.
Globe valves can be used for cooling water, oils and fuels, steam applications such as boiler vents.
We are a South Wales based distributor for TLV Globe Valves and ADCA Globe valves. We also have access to Hattersly and Crane branded globe valves.
Check valves or non-return valves as they are often called are a method for preventing backflow. They are used to prevent all kinds of medium such as water, oil, air, gas and chemicals from travelling backwards in a pipeline.
Check valves are available in the following materials: Brass, Bronze, DZR, Stainless Steel, Stainless Steel Hygienic (316 dairy), Forged Steel, Cast iron, Ductile Iron, PVC, ABS, MDPE and more.
Check valves also come in a variety of styles which include wafter pattern which are usually designed to fit between Two flanges and have either a dual plate spring operation or a swing style operation, swing and spring check valves which are usually threaded and also flange end swing and spring type check valves which are a heavier duty and for larger bore pipework. They are also available with a lever, counterweight and guard depending on requirements.
Threaded: BSP, BSPP (Parallel Thread), BSPT (Tapered Thread), NPT.
Flanged: EN1092 PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25 & PN40. ANSI: ASA150, ASA300 & ASA600.
Weldable: Socket Weld, Butt Weld & Plain end (Hygienic Butt Weld).
Mechanical: Compression & Push Fit.
Although simple in design check valves (Non-return valves) sometimes have a complex function. For example we can supply a lift check valve which has a deisgn which is more suitable for steam applications and also a double check valves which are usually WRAS approved for use on drinking water to prevent contamination of the water.
Butterfly Valves are a form of isolation valve with the advantages of reduced spaced and weight in comparison to a gate valve or flanged ball valves.
The most common butterfly valves are Wafer pattern and Fully Lugged (Lugged and Tapped) which are designed to sit between Two flanges.
Butterfly valves are available in the following materials: Stainless Steel, Stainless Steel Hygienic (316 dairy), Cast iron, Ductile Iron, PVC & ABS.
The most common application for butterfly valves are Water, Compressed air and Gas however butterfly valves have good versatillity and can be made to suit most applications.
Butterfly valves are most commonly flanged however there are a few options our hygienic range that offer buttweld and RJT end connections.
Flanges patterns available: EN1092 PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25 & PN40. ANSI: ASA150, ASA300 .
Common seal / seat materials: EPDM, NBR (Nitrile or Buna-N), PTFE, Viton (FKM).
Common Disc materials: Stainless Steel , Zinc Plated, Alu-Bronze (Aluminium Bronze).
Butterfly valves are most commonly operated manually via a lever and can also be specified to come with a gearbox and handwheel or chain operation. Generally our butterfly valves with also come with an ISO 5211 Direct Mount to allow them to be electronically or pneumatically actuated.
We are a supplier of many brands of butterfly valves including Albion Valves, Bray, EBRO Stafsjö, LV, JET, HUK and CSE butterflt valves with access to Tomoe,
